{"id":397,"date":"2019-03-11T12:08:42","date_gmt":"2019-03-11T11:08:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.nibis.de\/rsgebhardshagen\/?page_id=397"},"modified":"2019-03-11T12:08:43","modified_gmt":"2019-03-11T11:08:43","slug":"our-trip-to-london-2015","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.nibis.de\/rsgebhardshagen\/our-trip-to-london-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Our trip to London 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Sunday, 10<sup>th<\/sup> October 2015, we drove with 36 pupils from the classes 8 to 10 of our school to London.<\/p>\n<p>When we arrived on Sunday morning in <span style=\"color: #800080\">London city<\/span> at approximately 9 am, we started a discovery \u00a0tour through London, where we wanted to stay until Friday. On our first tour we saw the<span style=\"color: #800080\"> Big Ben<\/span>, the <span style=\"color: #800080\">Houses of Parliamen<\/span>t and the <span style=\"color: #800080\">Buckingham Palace<\/span>. It was an<span style=\"color: #800080\"> amazing moment<\/span> for us when we arrived at the Mall of the Buckingham Palace.<\/p>\n<p>After this tour we went to<span style=\"color: #800080\"> Covent Garden<\/span> and had a break. In the late afternoon we started the next \u201ctrip\u201d to our hotel \u201dLeigham Court\u201d in Stratham \/ Brixton by tube. What an exciting experience<strong>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Monday we went to <span style=\"color: #800080\">Camden Market<\/span>, a huge shopping street full of crazy shops and people (!). Afterwards we walked along the Thames to the <span style=\"color: #800080\">Global Theater<\/span>, where we learned a lot about the theater, <span style=\"color: #800080\">Shakespeare<\/span> and his performances. On Tuesday we went to <span style=\"color: #800080\">Greenwich<\/span>,\u00a0 admired \u00a0the tremendous \u201c <span style=\"color: #800080\">Cutty Sark<\/span>\u201d and visited the <span style=\"color: #800080\">Meridian<\/span>, the point of 0\u00b0 longitude. After this excursion we drove back by boat across the Thames. The next day we drove by bus to <span style=\"color: #800080\">Brighton<\/span> and visited the <span style=\"color: #800080\">Royal Pavilion<\/span>, where we got an audio guide in English through the glitter <span style=\"color: #800080\">palace of King Georg IV<\/span>. Afterwards we went to <span style=\"color: #800080\">Brighton Pier<\/span> and chilled at the seaside. On Thursday, our last day in London, we have had free time in small groups. Some of our classmates looked at the \u201c<span style=\"color: #800080\">London eye<\/span>\u201d, others visited the <span style=\"color: #800080\">Tower of London<\/span>, other sights or the shopping center. In the evening we met at the \u201c<span style=\"color: #800080\">Docklands<\/span>\u201d, were we waited for the bus and started our journey back home to Gebhardshagen.<\/p>\n<p>On our way back by the ferry from <span style=\"color: #800080\">Dover<\/span> to <span style=\"color: #800080\">Calais<\/span> in France we watched the sunset on the channel, romantic!
