Narrow streets, many bridges and especially a lot of bikes… This summer I made a short trip to the most beautiful city I have ever visited. I’m talking about the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam.
Loud sirens, busy streets, an interesting history and many people – Welcome to New York City!
Last year I flew to New York City, a beautiful and busy city with lots of colourful lights and big billboards.
Amrum is an island in the North and Wadden sea. It has a very long beach and behind the beach there are dunes. Inside the island there are forests and grasslands. On the other side of the beach there is the Wadden sea and a dyke helps during storm surges.
In my summer holidays I visited the famous German island of Sylt, which is on the very top of Germany. 21.500 inhabitants live there, additionally 700.000 tourists visited the island in 2017. Sylt is an island with a lot of nature, many restaurants but also hotels and beaches.
Small colorful houses. Narrow, stony and sometimes quite steep roads. And in the middle of it are small ice cream parlors, from which you can look directly onto Lake Garda. Watching a beautiful sunset every evening and eating in tiny restaurants. This is the small community of Malcesine, on the eastern shore of Lake Garda.
