BRITISH TEATIME
On Tuesday afternoon – our last lesson before the summer holidays- we had a typical British Teatime in our classroom.
Lady Helga -also known as Mrs Wolthoff- made English Breakfast Tea and Earl Grey Tea for us which we drank from small bone china teacups. Most of us had tea first, then milk. Our favourite tea was English Breakfast Tea. The girls prepared cucumber sandwiches and egg&cress sandwiches. Both of them were yummy.
The brownies made by Enna and Cedric were also delicious.
Martje Ole and Sophie baked scones that we ate with clotted cream and marmalade. They were very good.
Finja and Lana prepared Shortbread, a kind of Scottish cookies we really loved.
The table was laid with white tablecloth and beautifully decorated with flowers. Keno bought little British flags for the scones.
Altogether it was a wonderful afternoon and we had a really good time together and felt very British. ;))
